After
listening to the three scholars, several things became evident to me about
action research, such as, the used of the information obtained from it and the
details on must go to in order to get unbiased information with out hurting
department, individuals, ad students. In order for effective teaching to take place,
background research must occur. A good
educational leader researches areas of concern and the causes of these
areas. Data is an important piece in the
action research process. Each of the
speakers stated how they used data to drive their decisions on their
campus. Using the data that has been
collected to make decisions enables the educational leader to marvel at the
results what can change and what needs to changed. Educational leaders no longer have to
wondering what and why caused they can now look at the results and formulate a
recipe to cure the deficit. Increasing
the success of a campus depends on the ability of the educational leader to
analyze data, formulate a plan based on the data and implement a workable plan
to increase student and teacher success.
This is a very interesting blog post! The points you make about the data you collect being unbiased, and instead of focusing on the problem, focus on the recipe to cure the issue stand out and show a great leader. Your last sentence really concludes the main actions in action research. Well said!
