action research

Action research is when an administrator engages in a systematic / intentional study of administrative procedures and duties, and decides actions based on what has been learned from the findings. These necessary changes or findings are a result of his or her inquiries of the subject matter and his or her due process towards the research.  When the administrator uses this process it is called action research because the researched finding were analyzed with the intention for the betterment of schools, kids,  and the community in mind .  Administrator  often use a “what if” questioning approach to go along with data gathering and  written research text to plan improvements for learning both as individuals and as an school family. The “what if” questioning approach is a scenario based process that is used to cover all the unexpected pop or glitches that might occur during the research and gathering process. Administrator  usually solicit knowledge or input from teachers, community members, and other entities to gather information that can be used as a guiding force for improvement in areas of  in-services, staff training and other needed educational/ vocational enhancements. The administrator will seek the advice from many different sectors of people so that he can truly have no child left behind due to neglecting of a particulars race/group of people.
